How to build Lamborghini Huracan Paper Model. The Lamborghini Huracan is a sports car manufactured by Italian automotive manufacturer Lamborghini replacing the previous V10 offering, the Gallardo. The Huracan made its worldwide debut at the 2014 Geneva Auto Show. The LP 610-4 designation comes from the car having a 610 metric horsepower and 4 wheel drive, while LP stands for "Longitudinale Posteriore", which refers to the longitudinal mid-rear engine position. The Huracan's name is inspired by a Spanish fighting bull. The Huracan maintains the 5.2-litre naturally aspirated Audi/Lamborghini V10 engine from the Gallardo, tuned to generate a maximum power output of 449 kW (602 hp; 610 PS). To ensure its balance and performance, the car is mid-engined. The engine has both direct fuel injection and multi-point fuel injection. It combines the benefits of both of these systems; it is the first time this combination is used in a V10 engine. To increase its efficiency, the Huracan's engine also includes a start-stop system. With a curb weight of 1,553 kg (3,424 lb), the Huracan LP610-4 has a power-to-weight ratio of 2.55 kg (5.62 lb) per horsepower.
The Honda Prelude is a sports car which was produced by Japanese car manufacturer Honda from 1978 until 2001. The two-door coupe was loosely derived from the Honda Accord and spanned five generations. The second-generation Prelude was released in Japan on 25 November 1982 and worldwide in the spring of 1983. Riding on an all-new platform, the Prelude was initially available with an 1.8 L 12-valve twin carburetor engine, producing 105 HP (77 kW). In Japan, Asia and Europe, it later became available with a 2-liter DOHC 16-valve engine produced 160 HP (118 kW) at 6300 rpm. This was the first generation of Prelude to have pop-up headlights, which allowed for a more aerodynamic front clip, reducing drag. Opening the headlights, however, especially at higher speeds, produced significantly more drag. The design retained nothing of the first generation, being considerably more aerodynamic and with large glass surfaces. As with the predecessor, it was amply equipped, with an air of "mini-gran turismo" rather than that of a sports car. It also offered, as an option, Honda's new anti-lock brakes.
ZAZ Zaporozhets was a series of rear-wheel-drive superminis designed and built at the ZAZ factory in Soviet Ukraine. Different models of the Zaporozhets, all of which had an air-cooled engine in the rear, were produced until 1994. The name Zaporozhets translates into a Cossack of the Zaporizhian Sich or а man from Zaporizhia or the Zaporizhia Oblast. Zaporozhets is still well known in many former Soviet states. Like the Volkswagen Beetle or East Germany's Trabant, the Zaporozhets was destined to become a "people's car" of the Soviet Union, and as such it was the most affordable vehicle of its era. The car's appearance gave birth to several nicknames that became well known across the Soviet Union: mylnitsa ("soap-box", for ZAZ-968M, producing a more box-like appearance). Numerous special versions of the Zaporozhets were produced, equipped with additional sets of controls that allowed operating the car with a limited set of limbs, and were given for free or with considerable discounts to disabled people, especially war veterans. These mobility cars would at times consume up to 25% of ZAZ factory output. In 1979, the 968 series was replaced by the modernized 968M. Prototyped in 1977, it had the "ears" removed and replaced much of the chrome exterior with black plastic. Its interior design was also upgraded, featuring a closed-space glove compartment and a slightly more modern dashboard. It was offered with either the MeMZ 968E (40 hp (30 kW; 41 PS), carbureted, low-compression for 76-octane fuel); 968GE (40 hp (30 kW; 41 PS), dual carburettor); or the MeMZ 968BE (50 hp (37 kW; 51 PS), 8.4:1 compression, for 93-octane). Instead of the side-mounted "ears", the hood lid and rear quarter panels were louvered. The 968M is the most contemporary Zaporozhets model and also spent the most time in production, spanning a career from 1979 to 1 June 1994.
The Lotus Esprit submarine aka Wet Nellie from 1977 James Bond Film "The Spy Who Loved Me". This Esprit featured fins, front-mounted machine gun, a periscope and a surface to air missile. Wet Nellie is a custom-built submarine, created in the shape of a Lotus Esprit S1 sports car. The Esprit was chosen to give James Bond a glamorous car to drive. "Wet Nellie" is named in reference to Little Nellie, an autogyro featured in the James Bond film You Only Live Twice, which was itself named after actress and comedian Nellie Wallace. The submarine does not maintain a dry interior, and thus is a "wet sub" that requires occupants to don scuba gear. It was built by Perry Oceanographic, Inc., of Riviera Beach, Florida, United States, specifically for the film, using a Lotus Esprit S1 bodyshell, for about $100,000 at the time. The wedge shape of the Esprit is designed to provide downforce, so would force the submarine to dive, so was compensated for by fins placed where the wheels would be in a conventional Esprit. The sub requires a crew of two to operate. It has four electric motors that allowed forward motion only. Upon completion of filming, the submarine went on a promotional tour. Afterwards, it was shipped to Long Island, New York, and placed in storage. The storage unit was prepaid for 10 years; at the end of the lease, no one claimed the contents, so the contents of the storage locker were placed on auction. The buyer paid less than $100 for the unit. The buyers did not know the contents when they bought it, and from 1989 to 2013 occasionally exhibited the submarine. The then owner, also owner of a tool rental shop, had the exterior restored. It was put up for auction as a Bond Car in 2013. In September 2013, the submarine sold at auction at RM Auctions in Battersea, south west London. Elon Musk bought the vehicle, and as of 2013, planned to convert it into the functional car-submarine from the film. Musk stated that he plans to use Tesla Motors' electric drive train in making his conversion a reality.
The Jeep Wrangler is a series of compact four-wheel drive off-road SUVs, manufactured by Jeep since 1986. The Wrangler is arguably an indirect progression from the World War II Jeep, through the CJ (Civilian Jeeps) produced by Willys, Kaiser-Jeep and American Motors Corporation (AMC) from the mid-1940s through 1980s. Although neither AMC nor Chrysler (after its purchase of AMC in 1987) have claimed that the Wrangler was a direct descendant of the original military model — both the CJ Jeeps and the conceptually consistent Wrangler, with their solid axles and open top, have been called the Jeep model as central to Jeep's brand identity. Similar to the Willys MB and the CJ Jeeps before it, all Wrangler models continue to use a separate body and frame, rigid live axles both front and rear, a tapering nose design with flared fenders, a fold-flat windshield, and can be driven without doors. Also they have part-time four-wheel drive systems, with the choice of high and low gearing, and standard are open bodies with removable hard- or soft-tops. However, the Wrangler series was specifically redesigned to be safer and more comfortable on-road, to attract more daily drivers, by upgrading its suspension, drivetrain, and interior, compared to the CJ line. The suspension on all Wranglers included trackbars and anti-roll bars. The Jeep Wrangler (TJ) is the second generation of the Jeep Wrangler off-road and sport utility vehicle. Introduced in 1996 as a 1997 model, the TJ reintroduced the circular headlights the classic Jeep models had been known for. Contrary to the original Willys MB, the CJ Jeeps, and the Wrangler (YJ), starting with the TJ all Wranglers were fitted with coil spring suspension instead of leaf-springs.
The Hyundai Accent is a subcompact car produced by Hyundai. Since 2002, the Accent had been the longest-running small family car sold in North America. In Russia, it is sold as the Hyundai Solaris. Hyundai released the Korean version of the Accent (RB series) in November 2010. The new model is offered with the same 1.6-liter engine and 6-speed automatic or 6-speed manual as the fifth-generation (MD) Elantra. The hatchback version, called Accent WIT, replaces the Getz/Click in South Korea. Sedan model is still in production, but the hatchback model was discontinued in August 2018. In September 2010, Hyundai unveiled its Russian assembly line and presented the "Hyundai Solaris" a production-ready local version of the four-door fourth generation Accent. Hyundai reported that production would commence in January 2011. The Hyundai Solaris was available with 1.4 (107 hp) and 1.6 (123 hp) petrol engines, with a 6-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission. In 2014, the Hyundai Solaris for Russian and CIS (where it is sold as the Hyundai Accent) market was facelifted. The car got new front fascia and new 6-speed automatic and 6-speed manual gearboxes for 1.6 version.
The VAZ-2106 Zhiguli was a sedan produced by the Soviet (later Russian) automaker VAZ. In export markets, it was known simply as Lada 1600 or alternatively as Lada 2106. In the domestic market it was popularly nicknamed Шестёрка (Shestyorka, in English; The sixth one). A hugely popular car and one of most successful Lada models, it was in serial production for 30 years (from 1976 to 2006), although production in the VAZ plant ended after 25 years, in 2001, with manufacture continuing at Izhevsk for the final five years. Derived from its predecessor, the VAZ-2103, 2106 was created as its alternative due to expense and complexity of production of chrome elements which were severely reduced on it. Like the 2103, the 2106 was a four-door, four-seat saloon, but powered by a more powerful 78 PS (57 kW) 1,568 cc (95.7 cu in) single overhead cam inline four engine of Lada's own design. Top speed was 93 mph (150 km/h), with 0–62 mph (0–100 km/h) acceleration in 16 seconds. For many consumers, it was "the top of the Eastern Bloc charts for comfort and prestige", since the more expensive and luxurious GAZ and ZIL cars, intended firstly for party members and various other state officials, were out of reach for them. It debuted in December of 1975, and "would become the most popular and most numerous VAZ product". It externally differed from its predecessor, the VAZ-2103, firstly by having smaller grille due to having plastic headlight surrounds, different bumpers and by wider taillights also featuring reverse lights, which were then a new feature for VAZ models. The VAZ-2106 was severely restyled in the second half of 1990s, its chrome lined elements were further reduced; the chrome external/side mirrors became black metallic back in the first half of 1980s when the VAZ-2103 was discontinued, however, the grille was now replaced with black plastic one, also featuring a new front Lada badge. Chrome lined rim covers and exterior body part edges were also removed. However, the chromed bumpers as well as Fiat 124 door knobs were still present until the very end of production. Internally, the aging Fiat 125 steering wheel (firstly used by VAZ-2103 and later by VAZ-2121 Niva) also featuring chrome elements was replaced by newer one. The previous wood imitation dashboard was replaced with black one and, along with some other details, its original berth foldable seats were also replaced with more modern ones. In Canada, the model was sold from late 1978-early 1979 as the Lada Signet, with the official factory name being VAZ 21061-37. It was made up to 1984. One variant of this model is the 21061-41, which had Canadian Domestic Market bumpers and fitments, but it featured European Domestic Market repeaters, tail lights, side logo, etc. This model is one of the rarest of the 2106 series, and some examples survive in the former USSR and in Europe.
The RAF-2203 Latvija (nickname Rafik) was a cabover van designed and developed by Rigas Autobusu Fabrika from 1976–1997. They were widely used throughout the USSR as medical cars, used for trade and as a special services vehicles. This van used the 2,445 cc (149.2 cu in) engine of the GAZ-24, between the front seats, with independent front suspension also from the GAZ-24. It borrowed headlights and brake system parts from the Moskvitch 412, outside door handles from the Moskvitch 408, and 15 in (38 cm) wheels of the GAZ-21 Volga. The single rear door hinged at the top, rather than the more-usual side-opening. The model powered by a 95 hp (71 kW; 96 PS) 2,445 cc (149.2 cu in) with 8.2:1 compression. An ambulance, the 22031 made up fully a third of all 2203s built.
The Lexus LX is a full-size luxury SUV sold by Lexus, a luxury division of Toyota. Three generations have been produced, all based heavily on the long-running Toyota Land Cruiser SUVs. The first generation LX 450 started production in 1995 as Lexus' first entry into the SUV market. Its successor, the LX 470, premiered in 1998 and was manufactured until 2007. The latest, third-generation, LX 570 is a complete redesign for the 2008 model year. The LX name stands for "Luxury Crossover". The second and third generations had a V8 engine powertrain, a welded steel unibody shell combined with full-size steel ladder frame (body-on-frame construction), and seats for eight passengers (LX 470 and LX 570). The LX is Lexus' largest and most expensive luxury SUV. The Lexus LX 570 has a new 5.7 L 3UR-FE V8 engine. Power output is 286 kW (383 hp). The more powerful engine helps give an increased towing capacity of up to 3,900 kg (8,500 lb). The LX570 has an all-new 4WD system which uses a Torsen center differential.
This classic VW bus may have some racing graphics and upgraded rolling stock to tell you this isn’t just any old van. The T1 Race Taxi created by a Swiss gentleman named Fred Bernhard. This vintage 1962 VW T1 “Bulli” van packs the air-cooled, forced-induction flat-six from the Porsche 911 (993) Turbo, driving 530 horsepower and 558 pound-feet of torque through the six-speed manual transmission from a 996 GT3 to 18-inch BBS alloys. This is the project of Swiss customizer Fred Bernhard, who also used carbon fiber to cut the curb weight down to 3,300 pounds. The resulting light sleeper can top out at 143 miles per hour, in a vehicle with the aerodynamic profile of, well, a bus. It’s called the T1 Race Taxi. Build Goal – Maintain the outside form as original as possible while retaining the entire technology of a Porsche 993 Turbo for the race track while seating four.
